Village Luxury ski Kids programs are designed for kids and includes instructors who are kids at heart. Teaching is through games aimed at making children feel happy both on snow and on their skis.
While you are out on your own mountain adventure, your kids will be having a ball in our safe and encouraging learning environment where friendship and fun memories are formed. With programs for teens, learn to ski or ride lessons, to infant and toddler daycare, we have the programs for your family.
It's absolutely jam packed with fun events and activities. Your kids will get comfortable fast as they have the same instructor all week. What happens is nice all around - the kids get to know other kids, the instructor really gets to know the kids and lasting friendships often blossom. This is an enhanced learning progression that ends up in measurable results. Fun is just the beginning.
Ability Level Descriptions
One of the most important parts of ensuring your lesson or camp meets your expectations, and provides a safe and enjoyable learning environment, is selecting your correct ability level. This table will help you find the right level for your child.
Level Description:
- Never skied or snowboarded before.
- I would rather ski/ride at slow speed. Green runs remain a challenge.
- I can link turns on green runs, I rarely venture onto a blue run.
- I ski/ride at moderate speed on blue runs.
- I ski/ride blue runs & sometimes red runs. I might like to learn short turns, moguls and powder.
- I enjoy the challenge of skiing/riding in all conditions and terrain.
Most teaching methods for children involve little explanation and a great deal of copying movements. This is all disguised as fun, games and, for older children, races. Children's technique often develops directly from the snowplough to parallel turns, simply we tailor the lesson with your child's needs and pace in mind. Private lessons offer personalized coaching with a maximum of 5 people of similar abilities. Naturally, a private lesson provides an accelerated learning environment and as a result, you can expect rapid progress. Terrain is chosen to fit your child's abilities and moods. It is a great way to be introduced (or be reacquainted) with all both mountains have to offer.
Want to spend more time with your children? We can tailor the private lesson to your family so you can ski and ride together and explore the mountains with your own instructor. Includes lift line priority. Ages 3 to 18 years. Full day and Half Day available. Through progressive increase in speed and narrowing of the skis, much to the irritation and pride of the parents. This is where you ski and ride with pros who know the mountain inside out, top to bottom and bottom to top.
